Loose Ends Brewing

We had a nice night out and tried Loose Ends Brewing in Centerville.

The service was good, and the food was impressive.

I was driving, so I didn’t drink, but the wife had a Royal Gimlet

We had a beer, cheese, and pretzel appetizer. The beer cheese is made in-house and is very tasty. While the beer isn’t overpowering, it was almost like a queso.

Our mains are two smash burger patties with bacon, caramelized onions, fried jalapeños, Munster cheese, and a bourbon BBQ sauce. It is cooked expertly to a medium well with just enough pink. The bacon tasted magnificent and cooked well but not crispy.

We also had chicken strips served with a house dill ranch, BBQ, and an in-house spicy Thai chili that magnificently blends that sweetness and heat.

The chicken was battered in huge portions in a tempura-like batter similar to the UK’s proper fish and chips batter. Light yet thick and crispy.

We had 2 orders of fries, both with skin on, and while at first we weren’t impressed as they came out kinda cold m, our waitress Paulina quickly fixed that and brought out a fresh order.

These are proper thick fries with skin on. Delicious when fresh, perfectly salted regular ones and indulgent Parmesan truffle fries were my wife’s, which were just as good but a little strong on the truffle, but I imagine some like it more than me.

The dessert was a cranberry compote cheesecake that was light and refreshing.

Overall, we go back and encourage others to check this brewery and restaurant out. Centerville is not far from downtown Dayton, and definitely worth the drive.
